Oh what a day! Brinlee and I were on the way out the door to pick Brayton and Kylee up from school. Today was the 100th day of school and ERD (Early Release Day)...so we planned on doing something FUN.
Brinlee walks to the van now, carrying her sippy cup, baby and whatever else she's interested in at the time.
All I can remember is opening the van door and Brinlee falling into the door frame. She started screaming and when I picked her up all I could see was blood pouring from her eye. I could see that it was split open pretty good. As soon as I picked her up, she stopped crying.
I'm still not sure how or why...but I managed to remain very calm. Unbelievalbe, right?

I made a couple phone calls and mom met me to get the car rider #'s and picked the kids up.
I drove straight to Doctor's Care and Frank met me there.
Brinlee did not shed a tear the entire way there.
All I can say was that it was H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E!!
My poor baby was in a straight jacket! They had everything tied down, even her pretty little head.
They first tried to put steri stips on it, but that wasn't working. So they had to give her stitches. OUCH!
I was so hoping I was wrong and it wouldn't need anything, but I just had that gut feeling as soon as I saw it. She screamed until she was purple, "MOMMY, DADDY, LET ME GO...MOMMY, DADDY....UH-OH, UH-OH, UH-OH!!!" Bless her little heart, it was so pitiful.
I felt so horrible...all I could do was rub her little leg and look away.. It seemed like it took FOREVER, too.
I couldn't wait to get her in my arms and comfort her and kiss and hold her.
She ended up getting 3 dissolvable stitches. The good news is they will dissolve, so she will not have to be put through that again. The bad news is that they are suppose to stay covered and dry. Because of where it is located, we couldn't bandage it without putting a patch over her eye...so we just have to do our best.

after
Once we got all that behind us, we had a pretty good day. We ended up going to Olive Garden for lunch with Daddy. Then we all went to Just Like Home PlayHouse.
It's a cute little house that basically has a themed playroom in every room. The kids really love it.
Oh, and as soon as we got home Frank started cleaning out the garage.
He swears his baby fell because of all the clutter...sadly, I'm sure he's right :-(
I still feel so guilty and HATE that my precious baby had to go through all of that.
I know it was only 3 stitches, and I am so thankful for that.
We are so blessed to have healthy, thriving children.
Thank You, Jesus!
