tubes

My baby girl got tubes in her ears this morning. She is FINALLY resting well and peacefully. We had to be in West Ashley at 6:30 this morning, and we didn't get much sleep lastnight, so....needless to say, it's been a LOOOOONG day. Let's hope this works and makes her feel better!

I promise to post disney vacation pictures soon, hopefully tomorrow!

And, one last thing......Happy Birthday to my sweet little princess, Ella!
Hope your day was great! We love you and miss you, sweet girl!!! xoxo

RANDOM!!!

I have been slack about posting, and there is TOO MUCH I want to say and put on here. I feel like I need to catch up, so…this is going to be really RANDOM! I am sure I'm leaving lots out, but here are some highlights...

First off…a few weeks ago we went and played in the SNOW! Faith Assembly had a “snow fest” and we took the kids out. Kylee and Chase met us out there, the kids had a BLAST! They went sledding and had snow ball fights!! It was nice playing in the snow in 55-60 degree weather!

Last Friday we went back out to Wannamaker for a picnic. Brayton decided he would be a clone trooper the whole time. It was pretty funny. By the end of the day, the playground turned into Star Wars. Apparently, they play Star Wars at school on the playground, too. Funny!

This past Tuesday night, Brayton wanted to take his girlfriend (Abby) to Moes. He REALLY wanted to take her to Wasabi, but we compromised with Moes! We met her family there and ate with them. The two of them were too cute...he even gave her his cookie! Sweet thing!

And you know he HAD to wear that deer shirt...ha!ha!

And Miss Brinlee loves to play in my "tupperware" cabinet....too bad there's more GLADware than tupperware, but oh well! She took everything out and entertained herself for a good while. She eventually made her way INTO the actual cabinet!!

Brinlee has had fun playing with her cousin, Haven. They stopped by a few times the last couple of weeks. I am so happy that all the cousins have each other to grow up with...what fun we have to look forward to! We're hoping Suzi will come over SOON to play...we miss her! I'm looking forward to days at the park and the beach!!!

And last but not least....
we're going to DISNEYWORLD!!!!
we're leaving tomorrow morning (technically TODAY) after Brayton's soccer game. I can't sleep my head is spinning...I'm so afraid we're going to forget something! I've never been away from home for 7 days!!! Can't wait to experience this with Brayton, I think he's the perfect age. He was 3 last time, and could care less about a lot of it...although he did love Buzz! Brinlee will have fun with all the sights and sounds, too! I got the OK from her Pediatrician and ENT. We'll have LOTS of pictures to share when we get back!
We'll get to visit some, too!! Uncle Tony, Aunt Renee and family...and the MONAHANS!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!

Florida here we come!!!

9 months

My baby girl is 9 months old already. Here is her 9 month picture. I’m a little late getting it on here. She’s been sick with the same ear infection for over a month! She’s been on amoxicillin, omnicef, zithromax AND has had those horrible rocephin shots! She’s only had one ear infection…but we just can’t get rid of it. We just found out that she’s going to need tubes. She’ll get them on Wed, March 18. Hopefully they’ll make her feel better and sleep better, bless her heart!

She had her 9 month check up this past Wednesday. She is 17lb and 4 oz (lost a little due to the ear infection) and is 27 inches long. She loves waving and saying "bye bye" and loves playing and laughing with her "bubba".

BEN 10

This is Ben 10

This is Brayton Cade (Ben 10 wanna be)
Yep, we made the shirt…with electrical tape! Ha! Ha! Makes him happy
He’s got it BAAAAD! Real Bad. So bad that he decided to write THIS on his homework….

I had to get him back to reality....poor fella.

He wants to stop calling us Mommy and Daddy and call us “mom” and “dad” now….that’s what Ben 10 does…that breaks my heart!

The Country

A few weeks ago we went to the “country” to visit my grandma. I love it at my grandma’s! I love just sitting and talking with her, I love her front porch…and I especially love the old barn in her yard! Brayton has ALWAYS loved it there. I swear we need some land, he is a country boy at heart! This time was extra special…he got to bring his 4 wheeler!!! And cousin Adam made his day…he hung out with the big boys…and was the leader of the pack!! YEE HAW!!!!

Sunshine Therapy

We are LOVING this SUNSHINE!! It's like food for my soul, makes me feel so good to be outside on a nice sunny day! Brayton came in this morning and said hysterically..."Mommy, it's going to be 78 tomorrow!!!!" He's been asking me everyday, "is it going to still be nice today?" We've been to the park every day this week (well, Monday & Tuesday). Monday was Gahagan (Nana met us out there, too !), today was Wannamaker. I loved Wannamaker. I want to go back one day and do the paddle boats with Brayton! He had a good time playing with his classmates and getting some much needed outdoor air.

Little Ms Brinlee has been busy, too...

New things going on in Brinlee's World

--drinking from a sippy cup...YAY! still takes some work, but she's getting the hang of it

--eating cheerios now

--went to the park and on the swings!!!

--took a bath in the BIG bath tub with Bubba!!

--she keeps letting go of the furniture to balance herself, too!

Brayton was wide open with discussion today. Sometimes I feel bad because I just space out after 10 minutes of his nonstop, one sided rambling. He was really tired... and TIRED=fast, non stop talking (usually nonsense talking)!
Brayton "Mommy, did you know we are in outer space?"

Me "no, what are you talking about???"
B: "the earth is a planet, and all planets are in outer space. And the earth has a bottom...and on the bottom of the earth is dark and roaches and bugs...."
I also had to explain to him that not ALL TV shows are real (he loves animal planet, and discovery, so he does get confused)...he informed me that ALL shows were real unless they were cartoons.
Also, he loves his girl friend. He LOVES her...and wants to get her a special valentine...a special cookie with extra sprinkles.
Thank you, Lord for my kids. Thank you that they are healthy and that I have been blessed with another day with them. I love them so ;-)

After such sad news I got on Sunday, I HAD to do something to get my mind off things....so, outside we go with my camera and my beautiful baby girl ;-) Brayton is no longer interested in getting his picture done...I have to catch him PLAYING if I want one. I'm not claiming these are the best, but they're of HER, so of course they're beautiful...she wasn't in the mood for smiling, so we got all serious shots!

heart breaking....

I woke up this morning to find the saddest news...the little baby that I have been praying for, Cora Paige, went to be with the Lord today. Words can not even express how horrible I feel for her parents and family. I can not wrap my head around what they must be going through. It must be so hard to go on....without their sweet baby. I pray that they find comfort knowing that she is with the Lord now, and is free from pain and suffering.

It's so hard to understand why things like this happen. I feel blessed to have found her story. I found it the same day she posted about the diagnosis. There hasn't been a day that has gone by that I haven't stopped and prayed for this little sweetie and her family. I know that I'll be a better person because of it, especially a better mother. Going to give my babies lots of hugs and kisses now....

Please remember this family in your prayers, they need it now more than ever....

Rest in Peace sweet little Cora Paige

sweet pea

My baby girl...she's growing so fast. She is crawling all around and trying to get into EVERYTHING!! She is standing up and falling A LOT :-) She loves to play with her "bubba" on the floor and LOVES to give kisses. Well, she actually bites sometimes, but I'm wondering if she really knows what she's doing. She has such a sweet little personality. She loves to snuggle and I love to snuggle her!! She loves bath time. She loves finger foods (Mums Mums and Puffs are the BEST)! She does NOT love the swing, or the saucer, or the playpen...or ANYTHING that keeps her in one place! She also doesn't like a sippy cup or bottle....we're still working on that one, though. And she just falls apart when I walk out of the room. I gave her some "grown up" food this week....a french fry and some tomatoes. She's not picky...not yet anyway! Her new trick is sticking out her tongue. When she wants me she reaches for me and opens and closes her little fingers, oh how I love it!!!!
this was after a 3 hour nap!!
her new trick...sticking out the tongue!!
one of her favorite places to be....in the high chair!

isn't she just adorable??

my girl loves a bath!
She is so much fun and such a sweet, loving baby! I hate to see her grow up so fast, but at the same time...I'm looking forward to all the fun things we're going to do together.

playdate...

I almost forgot Brayton's playdate that he had on Wednesday. His social life is better than mine right now. The boys from his class were all invited to Michael's house for pizza and playtime. When I got there, I noticed all the other parents had left or were leaving. I had no intentions on doing this...I have never left him before. I always just hang out and have mommy talk. Well, we were there for about 30 minutes and he pulled me to the side and said, "Mommy, PAAALEEEEEEEEEASE leave and come back later, pllllleeeeeeeeease." I actually felt bad for him. I guess he felt uncool because his mom was hanging around, ha! ha! So, I sucked it up, got in my car and called Frank. It was only an hour or so, so I really did feel comfortable about it. I met Frank for lunch and went back early to pick him up. They played Star Wars the whole time, he said the had fun!!!
