After such sad news I got on Sunday, I HAD to do something to get my mind off things....so, outside we go with my camera and my beautiful baby girl ;-) Brayton is no longer interested in getting his picture done...I have to catch him PLAYING if I want one. I'm not claiming these are the best, but they're of HER, so of course they're beautiful...she wasn't in the mood for smiling, so we got all serious shots!

heart breaking....

I woke up this morning to find the saddest news...the little baby that I have been praying for, Cora Paige, went to be with the Lord today. Words can not even express how horrible I feel for her parents and family. I can not wrap my head around what they must be going through. It must be so hard to go on....without their sweet baby. I pray that they find comfort knowing that she is with the Lord now, and is free from pain and suffering.

It's so hard to understand why things like this happen. I feel blessed to have found her story. I found it the same day she posted about the diagnosis. There hasn't been a day that has gone by that I haven't stopped and prayed for this little sweetie and her family. I know that I'll be a better person because of it, especially a better mother. Going to give my babies lots of hugs and kisses now....

Please remember this family in your prayers, they need it now more than ever....

Rest in Peace sweet little Cora Paige

sweet pea

My baby girl...she's growing so fast. She is crawling all around and trying to get into EVERYTHING!! She is standing up and falling A LOT :-) She loves to play with her "bubba" on the floor and LOVES to give kisses. Well, she actually bites sometimes, but I'm wondering if she really knows what she's doing. She has such a sweet little personality. She loves to snuggle and I love to snuggle her!! She loves bath time. She loves finger foods (Mums Mums and Puffs are the BEST)! She does NOT love the swing, or the saucer, or the playpen...or ANYTHING that keeps her in one place! She also doesn't like a sippy cup or bottle....we're still working on that one, though. And she just falls apart when I walk out of the room. I gave her some "grown up" food this week....a french fry and some tomatoes. She's not picky...not yet anyway! Her new trick is sticking out her tongue. When she wants me she reaches for me and opens and closes her little fingers, oh how I love it!!!!
this was after a 3 hour nap!!
her new trick...sticking out the tongue!!
one of her favorite places to be....in the high chair!

isn't she just adorable??

my girl loves a bath!
She is so much fun and such a sweet, loving baby! I hate to see her grow up so fast, but at the same time...I'm looking forward to all the fun things we're going to do together.

playdate...

I almost forgot Brayton's playdate that he had on Wednesday. His social life is better than mine right now. The boys from his class were all invited to Michael's house for pizza and playtime. When I got there, I noticed all the other parents had left or were leaving. I had no intentions on doing this...I have never left him before. I always just hang out and have mommy talk. Well, we were there for about 30 minutes and he pulled me to the side and said, "Mommy, PAAALEEEEEEEEEASE leave and come back later, pllllleeeeeeeeease." I actually felt bad for him. I guess he felt uncool because his mom was hanging around, ha! ha! So, I sucked it up, got in my car and called Frank. It was only an hour or so, so I really did feel comfortable about it. I met Frank for lunch and went back early to pick him up. They played Star Wars the whole time, he said the had fun!!!

Saturday

What a beautiful day it was!! I am LOVING this weather! Brayton had a soccer game this morning and the weather was just perfect. A bit chilly, but not too cold. He did GREAT. He made 4 goals....of course I try not to keep track, but you better believe HE does!!!

CHAMPIONS

Friday night, Frank and his soccer team had a championship game. It was the last one of the season, the BIG one. This is this teams first year together. Frank coaches the team and put it together...he was reeeeeeeeally excited that they made it this far! Brayton and I went out on Friday night to cheer Daddy on! We tail gated mostly, with the heater on, ha! ha! Brinlee stayed with Ge Ge (this was only the 3rd time we left her!) They ended up bringing home this......

HOORAY for DADDY and his team! 1st place!!! The final score was 4-2. And Daddy played goalie the whole game!!!

Please Pray....

I'm asking everyone who reads this to please pray for Cora. I found her parents blog through some inspirational reading I do on another blog. I check it everyday for updates, and I feel so connected to this family. Cora is a little baby who is under 1 year (I think she's 10months) and she has cancer. She just finished her first round of chemo today. I just can't help but to think of Brinlee. We are so blessed to have our health and the health of our babies. The story will tear your heart out, but IF you want to read their story, you can find it here:

Pray, pray, pray for this little girl and her family, she is fighting for her life!

Our Weekend

Saturday started out COLD and with Brayton's first soccer game. Sadly, I had to miss it :-( I thought it was too cold for Brinlee. The game was at 9:30...and it was 32 degrees....INSANE! He had lots of layers on and kept warm by scoring those goals!!! I heard how great he did (5 goals!!), and I'll get to take pictures and see it for myself next week.

Later on Saturday we went to Chase's (my nephew) 2nd birthday party and had a lot of fun with all the cousins! Chase is such a sweet, FUNNY boy. He loves McQueen, guitars and ELMO! I love his spikey hair and sweet kisses :-)

Happy Birthday, Sweet Boy!

Then, on Sunday...Brayton got to go to Abby's (his GIRLFRIEND) birthday party! What a special treat for my boy! He even got into a "confrontation" with an older boy by defending his girl! They took her ball away and he was determined to get it back for her! What a gentleman! Ha!

aren't they too cute?!

After the party, we came home and settled in for the super bowl. What a GREAT game, although I was cheering for the Cardinals...I love an upset!

Brayton likes to look like Daddy...even when dressing for bed!

yeah...we had our own half time entertainment!!

Check out Brinlee's teeth, they are all in! She stood up in the middle of the floor on Saturday ALL BY HERSELF!! I tell ya, I think my baby is going to walk early. It breaks my heart. She is growing way to fast. She'll pull herself up and then let go and balance herself. She is a lot more vocal now, too. She has started "dancing" or "bouncing" to music, it is too cute. I could just eat her up ;-)

Brayton just HAD to make his own sandwich for school...and he HAD to wear his "spiderman" costume under his clothes, just in case he had to save the day!!! He told me he did end up having to use his super powers. ha ha!

BLT- his favorite!

The circus came to town....

Friday we went to see a program at Kylee's (my niece) school. They put on the cutest little circus and even gave out popcorn. Brayton enjoyed watching it, and Kylee was the BEST and CUTEST elephant ever!!! They had lions, tigers, monkeys, clowns, and even the tallest woman!!!
